Silicon Valley Liquidate started its eBay business in the Silicon Valley when most companies around them were downsizing.

Before we even completed our first full year of business, the economy really started to go down. This was a very unfortunate time for many businesses. Many companies had lots of computer and networking equipment, but no place for them. So the company founder, Shaw, took a calculated risk and invested in some of this equipment  in order to sell it on eBay.

According to the team it all goes back to the old saying, “One   man’s junk is another man’s treasure.” In this case, the unwanted equipment definitely became our treasure – one that we would pass onto our customers. After that their business fed itself.

Business was okay, but not exceptional until we started to do eBay research. Once we saw how business was blossoming we continued to do more research, browsing through eBay auctions to see what other sellers did to make their auctions desirable.

We realized that we needed to make our merchandise stand out in a long list of similar items. We made a lot of changes to obtain  a more professional look and noticed that we started to receive many more hits and bids.

Our business has grown leaps and bounds since it was created on July of 2001. We have reached a huge milestone by being named Platinum PowerSellers with over 500 active auctions on an average day and over 14,000 feedbacks.
